Join the Westwood All Stars!

Dear Families and Friends,

This has been another wonderful year for Westwood.  As you may know:

• Our Mandarin program has been expanded. The Confucius Classroom is being used and we currently have two visiting teachers from China working with all levels on Mandarin. Our new Mandarin library is well stocked and being shared with the community.
•  We have expanded our sports teams. There are now teams in volleyball, soccer, track, basketball, flag football and swimming. Our middle school students just competed at their first track meet, and three high school swimmers qualified for the state meet!
• We are graduating our second class of seniors this May (several of whom have been at Westwood since they were in preschool). Each of the six seniors has been accepted to more than one university and has received at least one scholarship. Together they have been offered over $876,000 in college scholarships and been accepted to 15 schools!

We would like to take this opportunity to ask you to be a part of our Spring Giving Campaign – Westwood All-Stars.  Please help us “swing for the fence” and raise $40,000 during the month of April. This support will enable Westwood to purchase several items including: gym equipment and additional enhancements for our sports programs; additional laptops and technology training for teachers showing them how to integrate technology into their curriculum; library resources; an electronic marquee to keep parents informed about school events; and a piano.
