Confucius Grant Update

Through the Confucius Grant we received in October, two volunteers from China have flown to Texas to assist with Westwood’s Mandarin program.  They are joining us this semester and have been shadowing Ms. Lin and will soon begin to teach Mandarin lessons!

In addition to the volunteers, the Confucius Grant has provided Westwood with a library of books in Mandarin from China. 27 boxes of books have arrived and more are expected! These valuable resources will continue to enhance Mandarin classes for all levels.

One Response to Confucius Grant Update

  1. Kathryn Andree says:

I love walking through the halls and hearing the little ones singing in Mandarin! Then, going into the bigger hallways, I hear the practical language being taught. It’s also very cool that not only are the students learning the language, they are learning about the culture!
