Essay for Education
Essay for Education was created by The Westwood School as a way to offer an exceptional academic opportunity to deserving middle and high school students in the Dallas area. Students may choose from a list of topics, and submit their essay for a chance to win an academic scholarship to The Westwood School.
The Essay for Education is open to new high school students entering grades 9 through 11. The deadline for the 2012-2013 school year is June 1, 2012.
Essays should be approximately 500 words and on one of the following topics:
- My path to college is unique because…
- If I could write my own high school curriculum, I would include…
- The worldwide issues that concern me most are…
You may submit your essay to Heather Lourcey, Assistant Head of School, at hlourcey@westwoodschool.org .
All work must be created entirely by the student submitting the essay.
Winner must complete application process and qualify academically for enrollment.
